Two things.
1.) I love this lens.
2.) AI Focus + continuous shooting mode = woooooo!
That bird was not very close. The lens just really rocks. And if I had a steady hand and more experience, it would rock even more!

This is beautiful!!! Between you and Jessica Morris I am becoming quite jealous over nice cameras.
I have a photo of a seagull with a cheeto in it's beak somewhere. Not quite as clear as yours tho!
Check out my blog and see the airshow pics I got with my 300x zoom this past weekend. It was too cool. I took over 300 pics with the continuous shooting mode, it's hard not to take a lot.
