Random Fact of the Day #7

To my fellow inhabitants of planet earth, and beyond:

I love babies and I used to love the idea of carrying and birthing one. That ship has long sailed. I no longer desire to be pregnant. Whether that disappearing desire is my own doing or God's, I don't know, but the fact remains that it is gone and I am glad.

I want a baby, not a pregnancy.

I need lots of support and encouragement as we seek to get that baby through adoption.

I've moved on... why can't you?

That is all.

I imagine that this post stems from some hurtful comments. I'm very sorry about that. I wish I had ideas on how you could make it positively clear to people, but I don't. Maybe some other adoptive moms would be able to help.

You are kind and gracious.
My offer still stands, the boys would be happy to donate :)

It's amazing to me at times how family or close friends just don't "get it"!

To us, being parents was more important than being pregnant. Adoption was a perfect choice for us.

The only way to make that positively clear to others is just to speak to them in blunt terms.

Give them time, they'll adjust and move on too!

People just genuinely don't know what to say, probably. People do want the best for you. I hope you can see that amidst all the goofball comments: people want you to have that baby you want so much. If they could will that baby into your life right now they would.

I'm sorry there are so many hurdles to get over when dealing with people on this AND while trying to hold your privacy close to you. I can totally respect that.

Sorry people are being hurtful, that just royally stinks.

I have the capability to be pregnant, but I'm with you. Give me the baby, I couldn't care less about the pregnancy.
